Raise a Glass to World Gin Day with Nature-Inspired Cocktails
Once considered old-fashioned, gin has shaken off its dusty reputation to become the modern mixologist’s muse. Its defining character lies in its botanical notes – juniper, of course, but also a medley of herbs, spices, florals, and citrus peels that make every gin unique. From crisp and herbaceous to floral, spicy, or citrus-forward, gin’s flavour spectrum is as broad as it is beguiling.
On World Gin Day, marked on June 14, Bombay Sapphire introduced a limited-edition collection of cocktails, called Hidden Jewels, inspired by some of India’s most scenic landscapes. Crafted by 50 of the country’s top bartenders, the drinks have been inspired by the calm blues of Dal Lake to the vivid blues of Jodhpur.
Here’s how you can make these Hidden Jewels at home, and also where you can find them across India.
