PM Kisan 20th Installment Date, Beneficiary Status: The central government is likely to release the 20th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, a direct income support scheme for farmers, in June 2025. With the 19th installment disbursed in February this year, over 9.8 crore farmers, including 2.4 crore women, have already benefited from this flagship initiative.
What is PM Kisan Scheme?
Launched in 2019 after being announced in the Interim Budget by then Finance Minister Piyush Goyal, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) scheme offers Rs 6,000 annually to eligible farmers. The amount is transferred in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 every four months — April-July, August-November, and December-March — via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
It is now considered the world’s largest DBT-based income support programme for farmers.
PM Kisan 20th Installment Date
The 20th installment is expected in June 2025, though the exact release date and location of the event by Prime Minister Narendra Modi are yet to be announced. Farmers are urged to complete necessary formalities like e-KYC to ensure timely credit of funds.
Who Is Eligible?
To receive the 20th installment, farmers must:
- Be a citizen of India
- Own cultivable agricultural land
- Belong to small or marginal farmer category
- Not be an income tax payer
- Not be a pensioner drawing Rs 10,000 or more per month
- Not be an institutional landholder
e-KYC: Mandatory for Next Installment
As per the PM-KISAN portal, “e-KYC is MANDATORY for PM-KISAN registered farmers.”
There are two ways to complete e-KYC — OTP-based eKYC via https://pmkisan.gov.in, and biometric-based eKYC at the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC).

- Enter your registration number and captcha
- Click on ‘Get Data’ to view your status
How To Check Name in Beneficiary List?
- Go to the official website
- Click on ‘Beneficiary List’
- Choose state, district, sub-district, block, and village
- Click ‘Get Report’ to view the list
How To Apply for PM Kisan Scheme?
- Visit https://pmkisan.gov.in
- Click on ‘New Farmer Registration’
- Enter your Aadhaar number and captcha
- Fill in required details and submit the form
- Print the application for future reference
