NTPC Green Energy Share Price: Shares of NTPC Green Energy Ltd, a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, will draw attention in Thursday’s trading session after winning 1,000 MW capacity in Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL)’s solar PV power project auction. The company signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) on Wednesday at a discovered tariff of Rs 2.56 per kWh.
This week, NTPC Green Energy also announced a strategic partnership with Honeywell Automation India to explore sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) production in India. SAF, produced from non-petroleum feedstocks, helps significantly reduce air transport emissions. The collaboration aims to utilize Honeywell’s eFining technology to convert carbon dioxide (CO₂) captured from NTPC power plants and green hydrogen into SAF, expanding NTPC’s green fuel portfolio. The company plans to blend SAF with conventional jet fuels, enhancing its footprint in low-carbon energy solutions.
In its Q4 results, NTPC Green Energy posted a robust threefold jump in net profit to Rs 233 crore, up from Rs 81 crore a year earlier. Quarterly revenue rose 22.5% to Rs 622.3 crore, compared to Rs 508 crore in Q4 2024. The company reiterated its renewable energy ambitions, targeting 40 GW of capacity by FY 2032, which will bring its total renewable portfolio to 60 GW. Additionally, NTPC expects to commission 14 GW of pumped hydro capacity within the next six to nine years.
