Michelle Ryan’s character Zoe Slater is reportedly set to feature in “high stakes” scenes on EastEnders in the coming months, following the actress’ recent return to the BBC soap.
As per the latest findings of The Mirror, Ryan, who reprised her role after two decades, made her on-screen comeback on Monday night.
Fans recently got a glimpse of the significant scenes ahead for the character.
Taking to her official Instagram handle on Tuesday morning, Ryan confirmed she and the cast had filmed a night shoot the previous evening. While keeping details under wraps, she teased viewers to expect “big scenes ahead” and “high stakes.”
Addressing the “new block of episodes” filmed this week, which are likely to air in six to eight weeks’ time, Ryan spilled online, “Ahh coffee, much needed after the night shoot last night.”
In doing so, Michelle confirmed that Ryan will be back full-time this summer while her character Zoe is currently “in a mess,” with more details about her past two decades set to be revealed.
“So excited for this new block of episodes, I can’t reveal anything but wow. High stakes. I’m carrying around the scripts to prep, new lilac pages. Well done to the writers, who have knocked it out of the park!”
