Take a look at Malaika’s workout here.
Here’s a simple breakdown of Malaika’s HIIT routine.
Burpees – Malaika starts her routine with burpees. Start by jumping into the air with your arms reaching overhead, then drop down into a squat, touching the floor. They are excellent for increasing heart rate, torching calories, and improving overall agility, strength, and coordination.
Around the World – Using a pair of dumbbells, pass the weight around your waist in a circular motion with both hands. This dynamic movement targets the core and shoulders, while also enhancing shoulder flexibility and engaging the upper back.
Ballistic Rows – The next exercise is the ballistic row. Malaika holds a dumbbell in each hand and alternates pulling each one toward her torso in a rapid, controlled rhythm.
Boxing Punches – While slightly more intense, this fun, cardio-driven exercise is worth the effort. Throw punches in quick succession, with or without gloves.
Standing Oblique Crunches – The final exercise is the standing oblique crunches. She is seen holding a dumbbell in one hand and performing side crunches by bending sideways toward the weight, then switching sides. This move helps sculpt the waistline while also supporting improved balance, flexibility, and core control.
