At 44, Kareena Kapoor is one of the fittest actors in the industry. The actor often swears by yoga and a balanced diet to maintain her fitness. In a recent interview, Kareena opened up about how she maintains her fitness. She mentioned that she follows a ‘monastic’ routine as she eats dinner and goes to sleep early.

In a recent interview with The Nod Magazine, Kareena Kapoor got candid about her life. She spoke about her fitness routine. She mentioned that she does not negotiate with certain things in her life, and these include workouts, early dinners, and early bedtime. Calling her routine ‘almost monastic’, Kareena said, “Dinner by 6 pm, lights out by 9:30 pm, morning workouts before the world wakes up. My friends know not to expect me at parties. And they respect that. They know I’ll be watching Schitt’s Creek on low volume!”

Talking about her workouts, she mentioned how exercise provides her with an anchor and helps her find her balance. She continued, “If I don’t work out, I’m in a bad mood. Post-COVID, I realised how important fitness is – not for vanity, but for well-being. It’s my mood stabiliser, my anchor.”

How Does Sleeping And Having Dinner Early Help Your Body?

Sleeping and having dinner early can positively impact your health. Eating earlier gives your body more time to digest food before sleep, which can improve metabolism and reduce issues like indigestion or acid reflux. Going to bed early helps align your sleep cycle with your natural circadian rhythm, leading to better quality rest, improved mood, and enhanced focus during the day.

Last year, Anushka Sharma also talked about how she hits the bed early. She mentioned that she eats dinner by 5:30 or 6 PM and goes to bed early with her daughter, Vamika. She said, “I eat early dinner and I think it is doing wonders for my health…I feel like I rest better, I sleep better. All my sleep issues are gone. I wake up fresher; I have more energy; I think clearly. I would attribute that to eating early because that’s the only change that I have made in my life.”

An early dinner and consistent sleep routine support better digestion, hormonal balance, and overall well-being.
