According to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) ‘Master Direction – Credit and Debit Card – Issuance and Conduct Directions, 2022’ dated April 21, 2022, you must activate your card within 37 days (30 days + one-week grace period) of obtaining it. So, if you haven’t activated your credit card yet, follow the steps below to activate the card at an ATM.
How To Activate Your HDFC Credit Card At Nearest Bank ATM?
Step 1: Before heading to your nearest ATM, call the toll-free number 1860 266 0333.
Step 2: Follow the provided instructions to receive an OTP on your registered mobile number.
Step 3: Then, visit your nearest HDFC Bank ATM and collect your new credit card.
Step 4: Now, insert your credit card into the ATM and follow the on-screen instructions carefully.
Step 5: Select the option that reads, ‘Credit card activation or create new ATM PIN using OTP’ option.
Step 6: Key in your registered phone number and then the OTP received on it.
Step 7: Once done, create a 4-digit PIN for your credit card as instructed by the ATM.
Step 8: Confirm the PIN, and your HDFC credit card will be activated and ready for use.
