False. Iqra Aziz did not make derogatory remarks about daughters

A short video clip of Pakistani actress Iqra Aziz is being shared online with the accusation that during an interview she passed demeaning remarks about another actress Aiman Muneeb’s young daughters.

The claim is untrue. Aziz did not make any such statement.

Claim

On May 11, a Facebook user posted a 59-second clip with the caption: “Whenever I see Aiman Khan’s [also known as Aiman Muneeb] two daughters I am thankful I do not have a daughter, says Iqra Aziz.” In the video accompanying the text, the actress can be heard discussing her marital life.

The post had been viewed over 1.2 million times and had 10,000 likes at the time of writing.

Identical claims have also been shared here and here.

Fact

Actress Iqra Aziz did not make any such statement about Aiman Muneeb’s daughters or daughters in general.

The video clip being shared has been lifted from a March 29, 2022, interview that Aziz gave to the Karachi-based Fuchsia Magazine.

The portion of the interview being circulated online is taken from the 40 minute and 23 second mark, during which Aziz discussed the advice she received after getting married about how to have a successful relationship.

The only time in the interview she mentioned Aiman Muneeb’s name was when she was asked to guess who might have written an Instagram post with the caption: “When life throws lemons, make lemonade.”

This exchange occurs at the 1 hour 14 minute and 6 second mark.

Verdict: The claim is false. At no point in the interview did Iqra Aziz talk about the daughters of Aiman Muneeb.
