Elvira actress Cassandra Peterson is not letting Meghan Markle get away without accountability for referencing her iconic titular character in a hair mishap confession.
It began with the Duchess of Sussex recalling a DIY hair job gone wrong in a recent episode of her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder.
On the podcast, Meghan directly referenced the titular character played by Cassandra in the ’80s show as she detailed the hair blunder, saying her tresses turned “very inky, almost Elvira-esque black” in her 2020 experiment.
The 73-year-old actress, who played the Mistress of the Dark in the show, did not let that slide and hit back in a witty banter under the Instagram handle @therealelvira.
“Hey princess, if you ever need beauty advice from a queen just let me know,” Cassandra wrote as she shared a screenshot of the interview in question.
Meghan also said she eventually ended up returning to her current colorist and close friend Kadi Lee to undo the hair mishap.
“And I texted Serge, and he said, ‘You need to see Kadi.’ And you came over. I mean, we were masked and all the things. It was such an interesting time, but I remember that day so well.”
