Airtel Share Price Today

Bharti Airtel Share Price: Shares of Bharti Airtel surged over 2 per cent on June 26, reaching a fresh all-time high of Rs 2,003.80 apiece on the BSE. The stock has recorded gains in six out of the past seven trading sessions, rising over 8 per cent during this period.

So far in 2025, Bharti Airtel’s shares have rallied over 25 per cent. Over the past one year, the telecom major has delivered nearly 37 per cent returns, and a massive 263 per cent gain over the last five years.

The latest rally in the stock price has been supported by upbeat analyst commentary. Axis Securities, in its weekly technical note, highlighted that the stock has formed a strong bullish candle on the charts. The brokerage said that, as per its analysis, Bharti Airtel could rise to Rs 2,115 per share in the near term.

On Monday, global brokerage firm Jefferies reiterated its ‘Buy’ rating on the stock with a target price of Rs 2,370. The brokerage outlined four key reasons to own the stock. First, it sees the company as the best way to play the ongoing consumption story in India. Second, it highlights a significant runway for mid-teens revenue growth over the medium term.

Third, the brokerage noted that the company’s capital expenditure intensity has structurally declined, improving cash flows and return ratios.

Lastly, it believes the stock’s valuations have significant scope for re-rating, offering attractive upside potential for investors.

Earlier, Macquarie also maintained a positive outlook and raised its target price on Bharti Airtel to Rs 2,050. The brokerage continues to consider the telecom giant a core investment idea, retaining it in its ‘India Super 6s’ list. Macquarie has also adopted a scenario-weighted valuation framework to better account for Bharti Airtel’s long-term growth prospects and shifting market conditions.

Brokerages widely agree that improving financials and a favourable sector backdrop point to continued strength in Bharti Airtel shares over the coming quarters.

5G Surge to Power Future Growth

Bharti Airtel is expected to benefit significantly from India’s booming 5G adoption. According to an updated report by Swedish telecom equipment maker Ericsson, India’s 5G subscriber base is projected to rise more than three-fold to 98 crore users by 2030. In contrast, the number of 4G users is expected to decline by 60 per cent, to 23 crore during the same timeframe.

“By the end of 2024, 5G subscriptions in the country had already reached 290 million, accounting for 24 per cent of total mobile subscriptions,” the report stated. This figure is estimated to jump to 980 million by 2030, making up 75 per cent of all mobile subscribers.

Ericsson’s report also highlighted that India’s rapid 5G expansion is being driven by soaring data consumption, robust mid-band spectrum coverage, the growing penetration of 5G smartphones, and widespread Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) deployments.
