Healthcare costs can be very hard on low-income families. To help with this, the Government of India launched the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY). Under this scheme, families get free hospital treatment worth up to Rs 5 lakh every year.
What is the Ayushman Card?
The Ayushman Bharat card is given to people who are eligible for the PMJAY scheme. It is connected to the Ayushman Bharat Health Account and makes it easier for cardholders to access medical care.
With this card, families can get cashless and paperless treatment in approved hospitals for major health issues. It covers both secondary and tertiary hospital services, ensuring affordable and accessible healthcare for those who need it most.
