The biggest names in Bollywood gathered under one roof last week for a special event: the special screening of Umrao Jaan. The event was a star-studded affair as celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Khushi Kapoor, Asha Bhosle, Tabu, Hema Malini, among others, were spotted on the red carpet. Among these celebrities was Ananya Panday, who also graced the event in a pristine white anarkali that paid a heartfelt tribute to Rekha’s attire in the movie.
Taking to her Instagram, Ananya Panday shared a series of pictures with Rekha. In one of the throwback pictures, a young Ananya was seen posing next to Rekha’s poster. In another image, a young Rekha held baby Ananya in her arms. Along with these pictures, she shared pictures of her OOTD where she donned a white anarkali by the late designer Rohit Bal. She wrote, “For Re aunty. Swipe to see how nothing has changed. Umrao Jaan is in theatres. Wearing @rohitbalofficial.”

For her appearance at the Umrao Jaan screening, Ananya donned a pristine white anarkali. The floor-grazing number came with a demure sweetheart neckline and full sleeves. The sleeves came with a churidar detail, and the bodice flared into a voluminous ghera-style anarkali skirt. Ananya ditched any statement necklace and let the outfit take the centre stage. The only accessories that she opted for was a statement ring and a statement chandelier earring.
For the glam, Ananya went with a flawlessly radiant base. She defined her eyes with eyeliner, kajal, and mascara. She added a pink blush to her cheeks for that flush of colour. She added healthy doses of highlighter as well for that sheen and glow. Ananya tied her hair up in a centre-parted bun, and she adorned it with red roses.
The Umrao Jaan red carpet event in Mumbai turned into a star-studded affair, drawing a glamorous lineup of Bollywood luminaries. Among those in attendance were Anil Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Asha Bhosale, Mahima Chaudhry, Prachee Shah, Muzaffar Ali, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Tabu, Hema Malini, Aamir Khan, AR Rahman, and Alizeh, along with several other notable personalities from the film and music industries.
