Actor Nagarjuna’s younger son Akhil Akkineni tied the knot with entrepreneur and artist Zainab Ravdjee on June 6. The couple got married in a lavish ceremony that was held at the legendary Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. The venue paid homage to Akhil’s roots as the studio was built by his grandfather, Akkineni Nageswara Rao. This was also the venue where his stepbrother Naga Chaitanya tied the knot with Sobhita Dhulipala last year.
For their traditional Telugu wedding, the couple ditched the extravagant outfits and paid a tribute to their roots. Akhil Akkineni and Zainab Ravdjee opted for traditional South Indian ensembles for their special day. Avoiding flamboyance for timeless grace, Akhil opted for a crisp white shirt and traditional pancha, exuding the effortless poise of a man deeply connected to his roots. Zainab, in contrast yet complementary, was ethereal in an ivory silk saree, adorned with diamond jewellery that caught the light like poetry in motion.

Akhil and Zainab’s wedding in Hyderabad was a star-studded affair. Celebrities like Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Upasana, Sobhita Dhulipala, Daggubati Venkatesh, and director Prashant Neel blessed the couple on their special day. The event also brought political leaders like Telangana CM Revanth Reddy and Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu under one roof.
Who Is Zainab Ravdjee?
While Akhil is a popular name in the Telugu film industry, not many people know about Zainab. Back in November last year, Akhil announced that he was engaged to Zainab.
Daughter of noted industrialist Zulfi Ravdjee, a well-known figure in the construction sector with deep ties to both the film industry and political circles, Zainab comes from a family of influence. Her brother, Zain Ravdjee, serves as the chairman and managing director of ZR Renewable Energy Pvt Ltd, a company committed to sustainable energy solutions.
Born and raised in Hyderabad, Zainab now resides in Mumbai, where she has carved a niche for herself in the art world. Known for her evocative abstract and impressionist pieces, she made her artistic debut with a major exhibition titled Reflections in her hometown. Despite her relationship with Akhil, she has consistently chosen to stay out of the public eye.
