India’s Disney dream seems to be inching closer to be true. A 500-acre Disneyland is coming to Gurgaon, Haryana, and it is being termed “Disneyland style”. CM Nayab Singh Saini has recently announced plans to develop the country’s first Disneyland-style theme park in the National Capital Region (NCR) in Gurugram’s Manesar. He also met Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in New Delhi to discuss strategies for promoting tourism in the state.
In what is seen to be a tourism overhaul in Haryana, 500 acres of land near Pachgaon Chowk is being carved out for rides, rollercoasters, and retail. CM Saini has described the proposed Disneyland project as “game-changing” initiative. (Representative image/AI generated)

Reportedly, the amusement park will be strategically located along the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway and the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor, which aims to position the NCR region alongside global destinations like Paris, Tokyo and California. (Representative image/ AI generated)

As of now, India’s Disneyland-style has no castle-yet – just land, plans, promises and approvals. However, if it delivers – what will happen to India’s office hub with a theme park in its skyline? (Representative image/ AI generated)

Gurgaon could become the country’s strangest blend of suits and rollercoasters. In the next few years, your NCR weekend might not mean malls or mountains – it may mean Mickey-adjacent rides just an expressway away. (Representative image/ AI generated)

Nonetheless, despite the buzz, there is no confirmation from The Walt Disney Company yet. (Representative image/ AI generated)
