After entering, you will be welcomed by the grand staircase, climbed by presidents and monarchs alike. This staircase will lead you into two majestic rooms: the green drawing room and the throne room. Adorned with lavish chandeliers and rich paintings, the green room is the royal waiting room. On the other hand, the red and gold throne room was where Queen Elizabeth once wore her crown and held investitures.
After visiting these majestic rooms, you will pass the Picture Gallery, featuring artworks by Rembrandt, Vermeer, and various Dutch masters. The gallery is surely a heaven for art lovers. The visitors can next witness the Ball Supper Room, which exhibits the queen’s personal jewellery at this point. The most striking piece of the collection has to be the Diamond Diadem seen on stamps and currency.
