Spice Girl star Geri Halliwell-Horner has opened up about her self-acceptance journey.
In an interview with UK Woman magazine, the songstress candidly discussed a life-changing lesson that she has learnt from her life.
She began by saying, “The one thing I’ve learnt, and I’m still learning – and I have to remind myself of this – is to let go of perfection. The most beautiful things come out of allowing oneself to be free and authentic, whatever that looks like.”
“The irony is, aren’t we all far more compelling when we just allow ourselves to be that messy, beautiful human,” Halliwell-Horner continued. “We live in a world where we want to airbrush everything, but when we have those messy edges, there is something really beautiful and much more engaging, and that’s the whole point.”
The British pop group, formed in 1994, consisted of five members Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Victoria Adams, and Melanie Brown.
Meanwhile, the It’s Raining Men singer revealed that Spice Girls slogan ‘girl power’ still gives her confidence.
Before concluding, Geri Halliwell-Horner shared, “I think when we’re younger, we have that bravado – or not, and then with life experience, you suddenly think that has given me the confidence to keep my feet on the ground.”
For those unversed, the Spice Girls members are expected to reunite for a world tour for their single, Wannabe, in 2026.
