Ayushman Bharat Card Download: The central government’s flagship scheme Ayushman Bharat PMJAY scheme that offers significant medical benefits to senior citizens in India. Under this scheme, all senior citizens aged 70 or above are eligible for free medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh, irrespective of their economic status.
In India, there are approximately 6 crore senior citizens aged 70 or above, spread across about 4.5 crore families. The primary eligibility criterion for this scheme is that the individual must be 70 years or older, as verified by the age recorded in their Aadhaar card, without considering their economic background.
To get the benefit of Ayushman Bharat PMJAY, Senior Citizen needs to register under the scheme and get their Vay Vandana Card which offers a Rs 5 lakh top up for free medical treatment in over 2000 listed hospital.
How To Enroll Under Ayushman Bharat PMJAY
To enroll in the Ayushman Bharat PMJAY Senior Citizen Scheme, Aadhaar-based e-KYC is mandatory. This is crucial for both enrolment and issuance of Ayushman cards to the eligible senior citizens. The only document required for enrolment is the Aadhaar card. In cases where only the birth year is mentioned on the Aadhaar card, January 1st of the following year will be considered the date of birth.
If you have both parents aged 70 or above, you do not need to enroll each of them separately. Once you enroll the first family member, you can add other eligible members using the “Add Member” feature on the enrolment portal.
Upon successful enrollment, each eligible senior citizen will receive a distinct Ayushman card. Applications for the Ayushman card can be submitted online through the official website portal (www.beneficiary.nha.gov.in) or the Ayushman App, available on the Google Play Store for Android users.
Beneficiaries can begin accessing medical treatment from the very first day of enrolment. The coverage starts immediately, with no waiting period for any disease or treatment, ensuring senior citizens receive timely medical care under the Ayushman Bharat PMJAY Senior Citizen Scheme.

How To Apply, Download Ayushman Bharat Card Online:
To obtain the Ayushman Vay Vandana Card, an extension of AB PM-JAY – the world’s largest health assurance scheme, follow these steps:
1. Download the Ayushman App from the Google Play Store.
2. Click on “Login” as a beneficiary or operator (if applicable).
3. Enter the captcha, your mobile number, and the mode of authentication.
4. Enter the OTP, captcha code, and click “Login”.
5. Allow access to the device’s location.
6. Enter the beneficiary’s details, including state and Aadhaar information.
7. If the beneficiary is not found, follow the eKYC process and provide consent for OTP.
8. Provide a declaration and fill in the required fields.
9. Enter the beneficiary’s mobile number and OTP.
10. Fill in details such as category and PIN code.
11. Add family members’ details and proceed to submit.
12. After completing e-KYC, you will be able to download the Ayushman Vay Vandana Card upon approval.
