Bajaj Finance Bonus And Split Record Date
Bajaj Finance Stock Split Bonus Issue: With Bajaj Finance’s stock split and bonus issue record date approaching, investor interest in the stock is soaring. The large-cap NBFC recently fixed June 16 as the record date for these corporate actions, announced alongside its March quarter results in April.
On April 29, 2025, Bajaj Finance unveiled a slew of shareholder-friendly moves, including a dividend, stock split, and bonus share issue. While the record date for the Rs 44 final dividend was May 30, investors still have a chance to benefit from the upcoming 1:2 stock split and 4:1 bonus issue.
Bajaj Finance Corporate Actions
According to an exchange filing, the board of Bajaj Finance approved a stock split in which one equity share of face value Rs 2 each (fully paid-up) will be subdivided into two equity shares of face value Rs 1 each (fully paid-up).
In addition, the board also greenlit the issue of bonus shares in the ratio of 4:1 — meaning that for every one equity share of Rs 1 held on the record date, investors will receive four bonus equity shares of Rs 1 each.
Impact on Bajaj Finance Shareholders
So, what does this mean for you if you currently hold shares of Bajaj Finance? Let’s break it down:
- Suppose you own 100 shares of Bajaj Finance.
- The 1:2 stock split means you will receive one additional share for each share held.
- Your 100 shares (of Rs 2 each) will be converted into 200 shares (of Rs 1 each).
Next comes the 4:1 bonus issue:
- For every share held, you will get four bonus shares.
- So, your 200 shares will earn you 800 bonus shares (200 shares x 4).
Final shareholding after both actions:
- Post-split: 200 shares
- Bonus shares: 800 shares
- Total: 1,000 shares
This means if you had 100 shares of Bajaj Finance before the record date, you will end up with 1,000 shares once the stock split and bonus issue are completed.
It’s important to note that while the number of shares you hold will increase, the overall value of your holding in Bajaj Finance will remain unchanged.
