Suzlon Energy Share Price: Shares of Suzlon Energy Ltd. are set to be in the spotlight on Monday, June 9, as a major block deal is expected later in the day. According to CNBC-TV18, Suzlon’s promoters—the Tanti Family & Trust—plan to offload 20 crore shares through this block deal. The floor price has been set at Rs 64.75, representing a 2.9% discount to Suzlon’s Friday closing price, translating to a total transaction value of Rs 1,295 crore. Following this sale, there will be a 180-day lock-in period restricting further transactions.

As of the March quarter, Suzlon’s promoters held a 13.25% stake in the company, while public shareholders owned the remaining stake. Indian mutual funds have a 4.17% shareholding in the company. Retail investors with holdings up to Rs 2 lakh accounted for 25.12%, while those with larger investments held a 13.59% stake.

Q4 Results

On May 29, 2025, Suzlon Energy announced a sharp 365% surge in its net profit for the January–March quarter to Rs 1,181 crore, compared to Rs 254 crore in the same period last year. However, the jump was primarily driven by a deferred tax gain of Rs 601 crore. Excluding this, core revenue from operations rose 73% to Rs 3,774 crore, underscoring robust growth in the company’s core business.

The company’s net cash position improved to Rs 1,943 crore at the end of March 2025, compared to Rs 836 crore in the previous quarter.

Stock Performance

Suzlon shares have delivered stellar returns over the past five years, rising more than 1,900%, and gaining 34.19% in the past year. On a year-to-date basis, the stock has climbed 2.5% in 2025, including a 22.41% increase over the last month.

On Friday, Suzlon’s shares closed marginally lower by 0.07% at Rs 66.74, just off the previous close of Rs 66.79, according to BSE data. The stock reached its 52-week high of Rs 86.04 on September 12, 2024, and a low of Rs 46 on April 7, 2025. As of June 7, 2025, Suzlon’s market capitalization stood at Rs 91,260.63 crore.
